Alcohol
I think one of the most divine things that god ever created is Alcohol… You are exactly yourself once you have surrendered yourself to Alcohol…You have been pretending all the while…to become a great friend, a nice guy around, a complete man and lot others….. but once you are down with this liquid….you are sure to become you ….yourself… You can talk to yourself.. think of something which/who is really close to you, say things which would have never uttered if you were all ok……
I think once you are drunk…you can actually put a lot of thoughts together… think coherently…argue well….. Express yourself well…because that’s when there’s no pretence…as I said you are exactly YOU…
You can talk about your likes and dislikes in an open and elaborate way and can defend your attitude and thinking….You seldom think what others will think about what you have said…or whatever you are going to say… You have just crossed all the lines and raced across all budaries and you are free to admit your mistakes…. launch an offensive against those all views which seem to be Hippocratic to you… you are most eligible and qualified to understand your self….and tell somebody on his (no matter who is he) face that he/she is wrong according to you.. You can sing aloud paying least attention to the quality of your voice…you feel like a winner….you feel like a complete guy….
I surrender myself to music once I am under the effect of spirit….but I keep on thinking about almost everything….I love listening to Jagjit Singh….and I can understand him the most in this state…I can understand the deeper meaning of each and every word….
There is something special…..about being in this condition…..in this state….in this world….where everything is lovable and understandable….
Akaash ka suna pan mere tanha mann main….payal chankati tum aa jao jeevan main…
Sanse dekar aapni sangeet amar kar do…….Mera geet amar kar do….

Certainly an admirable article about a truth which everyone, after emptying some pitchers of beer, must have experienced. I certainly have known this feeling to be 'ME' and recently sang aloud to my friends and the whole sea while sitting on BandStand beach and sippin beer. And really music is more enjoyable after alcohol, I remember my hostel days when people demanded specific sad or dance numbers while drinking.
And the last thing I would like to say is that we should be able to be 'OURSELVES' all the time. That is the best state to live in and it should not be dependent on any external thing. Pretense and Hypocrisy are the worst attributes one can have and One should do away with them : Drunk or Not.
Aman wait till i show this post to your mom..but jokes aside i wish there was a way of being in that state without Alcohol....
Guys...I think 'not being yourself' is not exactly about being hipocrite or preteding to be somebody totally different.. Sometime you really can do wonders with somebody else's life for not being exactly YOU for a moment... Just being somebody whom she will like to see by her side at that moment, just being somebody whom she will want to talk to at that moment...and that somebody need not be drastically different from wht u actually are... On the contrary I think people who can't bring in this subtle changes they really face tough times in their lives. Please understand that I am not trying to advocate that you shoould comprimise on your values and beliefs...but i am talking abt those small things like...bringing a subtle change in the way you talk...way you speak and the way you laugh.. the way you look at her
You aren't living alone and you aren't just living for yourselves..there are so many other lives linked to you. To keep them happy, alive and kicking, u have to keep lot of things, which you would love to do, away from yourself.. After having drunk one or two you are in a world where you are with yourself...you are doing what u would want to irrespective of the entire world...you wanna cry, you cry... you wanna laugh aloud, you do that... you wanna say soemthing bad to somebody you can most easily do that too...
Ohh dude..yeah I agree with all that you say.. In my profession alcohol flows freely.. and for a reason.. The best way to unwind.. those subconciuosly pent up emotions... damn.!!
khul ke peete wohi jinka man saccha hai... koi dar nahi ki kahi kuch chupi baat na nikal jaye.. ! LOL... yeah this one was said by a friend in one of these drinking sessions :)
