Black Car – Epitomizes the new found confidence of an Indian Consumer

I still remember my wife telling about a game which she used to play when she was a kid. This game was about spotting two white cars and one black and the belief was that this particular sequence will bring in luck, joy and happiness. She then stated that spotting two white cars would get over in a matter of seconds but after that she will have to wait for several minutes to spot THAT BLACK CAR...

My first car was black in colour. My relatives kept telling me that black cars have to be chauffeur driven, maintained well, cleaned everyday and things like that...to state it plainly they all wanted me to buy a white, silver or a cherry coloured car.

But I can bet there are many others like me who really don’t believe in these fuzzy logics. The only thing they believe is in them and that fact that endorses this statement is the ever increasing number of black cars being sold in India.

I feel that the growing number of black cars on the roads of the country underlines the burgeoning self confidence of Indian Consumer. He has decided that he is not going to be bound by the shackles of the past, he is not just going to do some ordinary routine stuff but he is going to go out and try different things and learn for himself....
